Toronto's first ever Be Good Be Social event is coming on Thursday October 27th 2011 at the ING Direct Cafe.

Be Good Be Social originated in Scotland, and was started by Ross McCulloch of Third Sector Lab.

Thanks to the generous support Good Works, our headline sponsor for enabling non-profit staff to attend for free.

Be Good Be Social is for non-profit staff interested in using social media, and is for the beginner as much as the digital die-hard. We hope to bring together people interested in social media for social good, whether you work or volunteer for a non-profit, charity or social enterprise.

You'll get a chance to see how other Canadian non-profit organizations are using tools such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, as well as blogging platforms to bring about real change and raise funds.

Our inaugural event is being held at the ING Direct Cafe in downtown Toronto, an innovative and exciting space.

A light buffet and soft drinks will be available throughout the event to prevent those embarrassing tummy rumbles.  ING Direct Cafe supports the Canadian Red Cross with profit from their cafe, so we will not be providing coffee or pastries and instead ask you to consider purchasing from the cafe to support this great cause.
